Does Utah announce trout stockings in advance?

No. DWR's stocking report is a running record of completed stockings, added as they are recorded. Utah waters show up here after the fish are in the water.

When does Utah stock trout?

Utah Division of Wildlife Resources (DWR) posts on this cadence: updated as stockings are recorded (year-to-date table). Season: spring through fall, water-dependent.

How soon after a stocking is the fishing good?

Most anglers do best from a day or two after the plant through the following two or three weeks. Fresh fish hold near the release point at first, then spread out and start feeding more naturally. There is more on this in our guide to fishing after a stocking.
