Catch per net (CPUE) is the DNR survey's count per gill net or trap net set; higher means more of that species were sampled, not a fishing forecast. Top species per gear shown; where we have no verified common name for a DNR code, the code itself is shown.
Population is dominated by rough fish species, primarily Common Carp (3.0/trap net) and Black Bullheads (47.5/gillnet). Northern Pike (3.0/gillnet) are present in numbers near the state and local median Black Crappie (38.33/trap net) numbers are much higher than state and local medians. Growth rates of Northern Pike and Black Crappies are substantially faster than statewide averages. Only age classes 1, 2, and 3 Northern Pike and Black Crappie were captured. Yellow Perch and other forage species were not sampled.
