Field note · Minnesota stocks by year, not by truck day: walleye fry go in within weeks of ice-out, fingerlings and yearlings mostly in fall, and stream trout in spring and fall. A row here means the fish went in during that year; DNR adds the year's rows after the fact, so the current year can look empty until winter.

Catch per net (CPUE) is the DNR survey's count per gill net or trap net set; higher means more of that species were sampled, not a fishing forecast. Top species per gear shown; where we have no verified common name for a DNR code, the code itself is shown.

Bluegill catch per trap net lift increased from 34.3 per net in the 1982 survey to 690.0 per net. Average weight per bluegill decreased from 0.22 lb. in 1982 to .09 lb. Walleye fry stocking has been very successful. The 1981 and 1983 year classes were well represented in the sample. Average weight of walleye was just under 2 pounds/fish. Iverson Lake is utilized by the public during the winter months. Limited use takes place during the open water season.
