DNR fish survey, 2019

Little Elbow Lake is located approximately 3 miles SW of Eveleth within the Superior National Forest. Little Elbow is currently listed as a designated stream trout lake. Stocking of rainbow trout ended in 2010 after a statewide review of the stream trout for lakes program. There is a short portage from nearby Elbow Lake for public access. There are also user developed ATV trails in the area that access the lake. No campsites are present. Two gill nets were set on 6/20/19 and caught no fish. White sucker were present in past surveys. Good numbers of minnows were observed near shore.
