Catch per net (CPUE) is the DNR survey's count per gill net or trap net set; higher means more of that species were sampled, not a fishing forecast. Top species per gear shown; where we have no verified common name for a DNR code, the code itself is shown.

There is a carry-in access on the north end of Long Lake, but there is no legal parking. Shore fishing is available on the north and south shores. Largemouth bass were sampled in good numbers, with lengths up to 20 inches, 70% over 12 inches and, 25% over 16 inches. Northern pike are also abundant - with fish up to 30 inches sampled, but an average length of 21.5 inches. Bluegill were sampled in moderate numbers, with lengths up to 9 inches, a 5.5 inch average and 40% over 6 inches. Black crappie are also present in moderate numbers, but are generally small, with none over 9 inches sampled. Yellow perch are abundant, with most fish between 5.5 and 7 inches. Pumkinseed and hybrid sunfish are present in low numbers. Black bullhead are abundant, and yellow bullhead are present in low numbers.
