Catch per net (CPUE) is the DNR survey's count per gill net or trap net set; higher means more of that species were sampled, not a fishing forecast. Top species per gear shown; where we have no verified common name for a DNR code, the code itself is shown.
BLBS WERE SAMPLED AT BELOW LOCAL MEDIAN ABUNDANCE. GOS, GSF, AND LMB WERE SAMPLED AT NEAR LOCAL MEDIANS. NOP, BRB, HSF, AND BLG EXCEEDED LOCAL MEDIAN LEVELS. ALL SPECIES WITH THE EXCEPTION OF BRB HAVE BEEN INTRODUCED TO THE LAKE SINCE 1979. WTS WERE SAMPLED IN 1979, BUT NOT IN THIS ASSESSMENT. THE SOURCE OF THE FISH INTRODUCTIONS IS UNCERTAIN. NOP AND BLGS EXPERIENCED SLOW GROWTH WHICH IS NOT SURPRISING WITH SUCH HIGH ABUNDANCE. LMB GROWTH WAS AVERAGE FOR THE AREA. SEVERAL YEAR CLASSES OF NOP WERE REPRESENTED, INDICATING CONSISTENT NATURAL REPRODUCTION DESPITE THE RECENT DROUGHT YEARS. REPRODUCTION OF BLG AND BASS WAS CONFIRMED BY 1/4
