Catch per net (CPUE) is the DNR survey's count per gill net or trap net set; higher means more of that species were sampled, not a fishing forecast. Top species per gear shown; where we have no verified common name for a DNR code, the code itself is shown.
BLB, BLC, AND NOP DOMINATE THE FISH POPULATION. BLB WERE CAPTURED IN NUMBERS OVER 29 TIMES THE LOCAL MEDIAN AND 128 TIMES THE STATE MEDIAN FOR GILLNETS; 4.3 TIMES THE LOCAL MEDIAN AND 8.4 TIMES THE STATE MEDIAN FOR TRAPNETS. BLB WERE RATED AT 12.2 FISH PER POUND, WITH MOST FISH BETWEEN 4.5 AND 6 INCHES, AND ONLY ONE FISH OVER 9 INCHES. BLC WERE SAMPLED IN NUMBERS 3/4 TIMES THE LOCAL MEDIAN AND 1.5 TIMES THE STATE MEDIAN FOR GILLNETS; 2.9 TIMES THE LOCAL MEDIAN AND 7.3 TIMES THE STATE MEDIAN FOR TRAPNETS. RSD WAS CALCULATED AT 30.0%. DISTRIBUTION WAS BIMODAL, WITH MODES AT 5.0-5.4 INCHES AND 10.5-10.9 INCHES TOTAL LENGTH. NOP WERE CAPTURED IN NUMBERS TWICE THE LOCAL AND STATE MEDIANS FOR GILLNETS AND SLIGHTLY GREATER THAN TRAPNET LOCAL AND STATE MEDIANS. AVERAGE WEIGHT FOR NOP WAS 2.9 POUNDS. IN ADDITION, TRAPNETS AND THE GILLNET CAPTURED 6 CARP, 3 GSF, 2 BLG, 2 YEP, AND 2 GOS. THE SEINE HAULS CAPTURED YOY AND ADULT BLC AND GSF, AS WELL AS ADULT YEP, BLB, AND FHM.
