Catch per net (CPUE) is the DNR survey's count per gill net or trap net set; higher means more of that species were sampled, not a fishing forecast. Top species per gear shown; where we have no verified common name for a DNR code, the code itself is shown.
NORTHERN PIKE WERE SAMPLED AT LEVELS HIGHER THAN LOCAL MEDIANS FOR NUMBER PER SET, BUT POUNDS PER SET WAS VERY CLOSE TO LOCAL MEDIANS. THE BLACK BULLHEAD POPULATION IS HIGHER THAN LOCAL MEDIANS FOR NUMBERS WHILE BEING ONLY ABOUT 1/3 LOCAL MEDIANS FOR POUNDS PER SET. BLUEGILL AND BLACK CRAPPIE NUMBERS WERE SAMPLED NEAR LOCAL MEDIAN LEVELS, BUT WERE SMALL IN SIZE WITH NEARLY ALL FISH BEING LESS THAN 6 INCHES IN LENGTH. ONE LARGEMOUTH BASS WAS ALSO SAMPLED IN TRAPNETS.
