Field note · Minnesota stocks by year, not by truck day: walleye fry go in within weeks of ice-out, fingerlings and yearlings mostly in fall, and stream trout in spring and fall. A row here means the fish went in during that year; DNR adds the year's rows after the fact, so the current year can look empty until winter.

Catch per net (CPUE) is the DNR survey's count per gill net or trap net set; higher means more of that species were sampled, not a fishing forecast. Top species per gear shown; where we have no verified common name for a DNR code, the code itself is shown.

A survey targeting age-0 Walleyes was conducted at Lake Washington on 23 September 2025 using 61 minutes of standard boat electrofishing. Eight age-0 Walleyes were sampled for a catch rate of 7.8/hour on-time. Age-0 Walleye averaged 7.3 inches and ranged from 6.7 inches to 7.9 inches. The Lake Washington management plan was changed in 2019 to include odd-year stocking of Lower Mississippi strain Walleye fry. The mean catch rate since 2017 during fry stocked years (n=4) was 28.0/per hour on-time while non-stocked years (n=4) have averaged 49.2/hour on-time.
